Hand-forged by renowned automotive artist Steve Posson, the Mothers Shine Award honors uncompromising excellence in motor vehicle design. In addition to the Shine Award, ten category-specific Mothers Choice Awards recognize select vehicles who stand above the rest in their given class. All winners are selected at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas by an impartial, third-party panel of judges, comprised of well-respected members of the automotive aftermarket industry.
Thousands of vehicles will compete for the Shine Award, but only one will take home the coveted prize.
The Shine is a trophy depicting a car detailer's towel - rendered in bronze - and awarded to the winner of the annual Shine Award at SEMA.
This "Best of Show" trophy is rendered in bronze by automotive sculptor Steve Posson.
Choice Awards are presented to the runners-up to the prestigious Shine Award given at SEMA.
