Highlights: 6.5 year build time. Chris bought the car in high school and drove for 2 years. After high school, Chris tore it apart for frame-off resto (driver/show car) – project stalled – then, after a 12 year rest, Eddie at Superior Autoworks stepped in to help finish the project. After several plan evolutions, it became a true showcar.
All trim inside/out/underside is flush-mounted into body, front grill is custom designed cnc’d, grill floating turn signals spear custom hand-made, hood lengthened 2”, hood valence shortened 2”, center of hood lengthened 13” with 26” custom hood ports, hood corners radiused, wiper cal panel corners – front windshield corners – custom hand-made ss trim – rear window corners w/ custom ss trim – trunk lid corners – all radiused, Close to 1000 pieces of stainless steel hardware, washers, nuts & bolts w/ diamond-cut heads & no exposed threads.
So much custom plating involved that the project required three companies to complete on time – Advanced Plating, Paul’s Chrome, Ogden Chrome; 5-piece wheels custom designed by Evod Industries, Smoothed & polished Michelin Pilot Sports, Wilwood brakes Custom interior by Steve Holcomb – Pro Auto Interiors, 2-tone Harvest Gold/Cedar
